Call for outdoor cinema event sponsors

A RALLYING call has been made for businesses to sponsor an outdoor cinema event in a Hinckley park.

Hinckley-based charity A Gift To Lift is hosting the event in Hollycroft Park on September 3.

The charity, which supports blood cancer patients, is looking for donations and sponsorships from borough businesses to ensure the event can go ahead.

Plans are in their early stages, but the public will choose the film through a vote and a band will also take to the stage.

Refreshments including bottles of wine, soft drinks, popcorn and sweets will also be sold.

The charity expects between 250 and 450 people to attend.

A spokesman said: “If you choose to sponsor a part of the event, you are helping our charity to raise as much money as possible and supporting people with blood cancer.

“In return we are offering you great local publicity for your business. As a lot of our supporters are from the local area, working with us can help you solidify yourself as part of the community and perhaps introduce you to a whole new audience.

“We’ve found our dedicated supporter base is very happy to talk about our events and share them across social media and their local communities.

“By partnering with us, your company name would be shared as often as our own is.”
