Musical theatre workshops on way

-

YOUNGSTERS with a penchant for the dramatic are being invited to stretch their stage skills during a series of workshops in Hinckley.

Former Hinckley resident and now West End actor Zachary Morris (currently staring in the UK tour of Rocky Horror and recently seen at The Curve in Leicester) will be leading a musical theatre workshop at the Rochelle School of Dance.

He and fellow actor Rachel Knowles set up dedicated teaching company The TheatreLAB to bring music, dancing and acting classes to budding thespians actors the country.

After a successful stint in Hinckley last summer TheatreLAB is back for five days of activity and fun from Monday July 24 to Friday July 29 between 10am and 3.30pm at the Rochelle studios in Hinckley United Reformed Church on The Borough.

Zac said: “This is an unmissable experience for anyone who has a passion for performing. It is a unique chance for young people to work alongside industry professionals.

“We produce theatre workshops for children of all ages. Our LABs are led only by our creative team of dedicated Broadway and West End performers. The focus is on laughter, joy, personal growth, collaboration and empowerment.”

The workshops are expected to culminate in a 30 to 40 minute show for family and friends on the last day.

Due the success of last year’s workshops the demand is likely to be high and places are limited.

Anyone interested in booking a place should email office@rochelledance.com or call Kaye Shufflebotham on Hinckley 636514.
