Woodland work is gifted grants

-

A LUTTERWORTH refrigeration business donated £25,000 to The Woodland Trust and The Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust.

Husky’s generous donation will help with the restoration work of ancient woods across the region and beyond, where more than 1,000 irreplaceable trees have been destroyed over the last 10 years.

The charities will take an equal split of the donation.

Serge Kreme, CEO and owner of Husky, said: “At Husky, we are committed to ensuring all our products are developed to be as energy efficient as possible. Having said that, we realise our products do have an impact on the environment, however small.

“So we felt it was time to give something back to the environment. As a Lutterworth based company which has been in business for more than 25 years, we are proud to support these crucial Leicestershire conversationalists who are doing such a fantastic job in maintaining and enhancing the Leices- tershire environment generations to come.”

Simon Bentley, from Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust, said: “We can’t thank Husky enough. The donation will help us to support our Living Landscape project which represents a bold vision of restoring, recreating, and reconnecting fragmented habitats to create a resilient and healthy environment, highly valued and accessible for everyone.”
