A CHARITY fashion show organised by a Hinckley beauty queen raised nearly £800 for deprived children.
Rheo Parnell, 17, who is the youngest ever to be crowned Miss Coventry and Warwickshire, hosted the show at Market Bosworth Sports Club in partnership with Jordan Williams, a former Mr England star from Hinckley.
The “fit for fashion” show featured designs from a number of boutiques, including Bosworth’s Pin Gin Boutique and Warwickshire-based Boo-Couture and Fab Frock Shop.
The event raised £790 for Beauty with a Purpose, a charity partner of Miss England which support underprivileged children worldwide.
Rheo has raised more than £2,500 through a series of events and she is releasing a charity sin- gle called Our World soon in the hope of smashing her £3,000 fundraising target.
She said: “The beautiful models were highlighting that the Miss England competition has moved on from the stereotypical bathing suited beauty parades of the past, and what is required is today is a healthy, confident and caring persona and an all round character to inspire younger people to be the very best version of themselves - and I am hoping to be that person.”
