Social media presentation
THE Earl Shilton Business Forum is launching an Autumn Initiative that aims to promote the town’s businesses and retailers via social media and business coaching.
The forum has arranged for social media coach Karen Cureton to give a presentation at the next quarterly meeting at the Travellers Inn Hotel on Wood Street, on Thursday September 22 at 5.30pm
The presentation is free of charge, and will provide businesses and retailers with an insight into how social media can be utilised for the promotion and development of their business.
According to the forum, studies have shown that where 60% or more of the local businesses support this form of promotion, far better results and sales are achieved and there is a noticeable increase in customers.
The event will also feature a presentation by Karen Coffey of the Shires magazine, who will detail a special feature on Earl Shilton’s various businesses and retailers.
Attending members will be entitled to sign up for specific social media courses at discounted prices
Established around 12 years ago and formerly know as the Earl Shilton Shopkeepers Association, the Forum has been run exclusively by volunteers for the past five years, and has worked tirelessly to promote the town’s businesses.
At the Forum’s December meeting, an experienced business coach will give a presentation on how business and retail owners can boost custom.
