Connells pledges to support the vital work of Childline

-

ESTATE agency Connells in Hinckley is delighted to have signed up to become a Local Corporate Supporter celebrating Childline’s 30th anniversary.

As part of its support for chosen charity the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) – which provides Childline’s counselling service – Connells has pledged to raise £2,000 over the course of the next year to support the cause.

To celebrate Childline’s 30th anniversary, NSPCC has launched its 30 for 30 Local Corporate Initiative to encourage local businesses to actively fundraise and raise awareness for the cause.

The money raised by Connells during the year will go towards more funding for the charity, to continue providing help and advice free of charge to children in need around the UK.

“We are very proud to take part in this campaign and to continue our support of the NSPCC which spans more than 15 years,” said Steve Haskins, branch manager at Connells, Hinckley.

“As a company, we raise a significant amount for the NSPCC each year and, as we are also celebrating a milestone anniversary this year – our 80th – it seems fitting that we back this particular campaign. We look forward to doing what we can to raise money and awareness for Childline and the brilliant work they do over the coming year.”

Jacqui Venters, community fundraising manager at the NSPCC, said: “We are so pleased to have Connells Residential join our 30 for 30 Local Corporate Initiative, celebrating 30 years of Childline.

“The support they have given NSPCC over the years has been tremendous and it’s fantastic that their branches are now joining in the fun and helping to raise vital funds and awareness to keep Childline here for the next generation of children.

“Thank you Connells and happy 80th anniversary.”
