August results

HINCKLEY Ladies Golf Club has released its results for tournaments played during August.

Overall winner of the ladies 18 Hole Stableford on August 2 was Irene Steele with 34 pts ocb. In division one, first was Helen Buckingham with 34 pts, division two Fay Clegg with 29 pts and division three Sheila Chave with 33 pts.

At the Club Championship 2016 held on August 3 winner was Ellie York with 158 gross.

Winner of the Anita Darby Trophy 2016 was also Ellie York with 148 net.

Mr Chairman’s AmAm on August 9 saw Yvonne Smith, Helen Adams-Brown, Celia Stubbs, Hilary Dunphy come out as winners with 85 pts while runners-up were Marian Wass, Julie Jennings, Jean McLeish, Kathy Webb with 81 pts.

Overall winner of the Committee Cup on August 16 was Carol Walton with 34 pts ocb, second Annette Cattermole 34 pts and third Sue Ayre on 33 pts ocb.

The Cooper Bowl (30-36) Handicaps was played on August 23 and won by Jane Whitlock at 79 nett.

The medal competition saw division one winner Ann Armstrong with 70 nett, division two headed by Celia Stubbs with 76 nett ocb and second in division two Yvonne Smith with 76 nett.

Elaine Ebbage won the Mary Tailby Salver on August 30 with 72 nett ocb, division one Rita Watts on 72 nett, division two first place Fay Clegg with 73 nett and second Carol Walton with 74 nett and in division three in first place was Breeda Lester 79 nett.
