THE CANARIES have announced three new signings to help them fly high in their Northern Premier League campaign.

Defender Connor Anderson joined the Kirkby Road outfit on a one month from National League North side Nuneaton Town, while midfielder Charlie Morris has also joined on loan from National League side Solihull Moors.

The pair join forward Cleveland Taylor who has arrived at the club from Corby Town.

Anderson made his debut during the goalless draw against Halesowen, and manager Jimmy Ginnelly hopes that all three will add some much-needed experience to the team.

He said: “Connor was superb, really.

“Not one of the balls went past him, hopefully we can give him some experience and get him into the Football League.

“We’ve been working very hard to get the balance right this season.

“We’re very hard to break down and beat, but we haven’t had a centre forward all season which hasn’t helped.

“After 10 games of the season I tried to persevere with a lot of the younger players.

“But the Northern Premier League has got a lot stronger over the past few years, every player seems to be over six foot and the kids were just getting out-muscled, so having new players around will be helpful for them too.”

Ginnelly previously stated that a top-half finish was the target for the club.

Going the other way, Amarvir Sandhu has returned to Leicester Road after a short spell with Barwell, capping his move back with a goal against West Bridgford last weekend.

Barwell’s next home fixture is against Matlock Town on Tuesday October 4 at 7.45pm.
