Rock ban inspiration for latest book in series

A BESTSELLING Burbage author has wrote a further instalment to his series with the help of a famous rock producer.

Author Peter Darley’s new book Hold On! Tomorrow follows the success of his trilogy Hold On!, Go! and Run! which reached number one in the Amazon US book list.

The journey to writing the latest book was an unusual one, however.

Having fell out of love with writing after problems with publishing, Peter pursued other projects.

However, that all changed after renowned rock producer Pierpaolo Monti spotted one his tracks on a faux soundtrack for Peter’s novel and offered to write a single if he wrote another book.

Peter, a former actor who has appeared on shows such as The Bill, said: “I put the writing on hold after I had trouble with the publishers and saw the underbelly of that world.

“However, when one of my heroes, Pierpaolo, contacted me that all changed as now it wasn’t just the publishing world I had behind me, but it the whole rock world as well.

“I also think it is the first time in history that a song has been produced specifically for a novel!”

Pierpaolo drafted in Nick Workman, the singer of rock band VEGA, and the band Charming Grace.

The result is a power balled called Gotta Get Away which features on compilation album We Still Rock, released by Tanzan Music on October 3.

The book itself follows in the mould of its predecessors and is a romantic thriller set in the future.

The book was released on October 1 and is available to purchase from Amazon at www.amazon.co.uk/HoldTomorrow-Peter-Darleyebook/dp/B01LXIWZCX
