SUPERDRUG is opening a new store at Hinckley’s Crescent development this week.

The health and beauty giant opens its doors at the £60 million retail and leisure complex at 9am on Friday.

The national chain, which has created 12 new jobs, sells a range of cosmetic products, toiletries and electrical goods.

Shop manager Natalie Sharp said: “We’re looking forward to inviting customers to the new store in the newly-developed shopping centre.

“We think Superdrug will be a fantastic addition to The Crescent and is perfect for customers looking for a gift or special treat in the lead up to Christmas.”

The store will offer a variety of Christmas gifts with prices starting from £1 - ideal stocking fillers and secret Santa gifts.

Superdrug’s own brand toiletries, which are ani- mal cruelty free and carry the leaping bunny symbol, will also be stocked.

The shop will have a ‘brow bar’ offering drop-in eyebrow treatments from £5.

Customers can sign up to Superdrug’s free loyalty card to earn special discounts and points deals.

They can also use the shop’s click and collect service by visiting Superdrug.com to take advantage of online offers.

Will Robinson, of the Tin Hat Partnership - the developers behind The Crescent - welcomed the latest addition.

He said: “We are delighted that Superdrug is the latest retailer to sign up to The Crescent. It certainly adds to the mix in the lineup at the development which has brought a range of brands to Hinckley including restaurants, retail and leisure and includes both national and local names.

“We have been talking to Superdrug for some time and it is great to see The Crescent attracting another high-profile retailer to the town.”

Superdrug closed down its store in the town’s Britannia Centre in September 2012 during a time of economic uncertainty.

It is now the secondlargest health and beauty retailer in the UK with nearly 900 stores and more than 14,000 employees.

The company is a subsidiary of AS Watson Group, which is part of a Hong Kong conglomerate CK Hutchinson Holdings.
