Sunday league round up from the weekend

SUNDAY league leaders Sporting Dynamo continued their ruthless run in form by knocking 10 goals past Dunton and Broughton.

Hat-tricks from Scott Cockeram and Jack Lewis were added to by Jack Coleman (2), Danny McGurk and Ryan Sharp to strengthen Dynamo’s advantage at the top of the Hardy and Draper Carpets Division One in the Hinckley and District Sunday Football League, sponsored by Simply Gym.

Dave Taylor scored a consolatio­n goal for Dunton to make the final score 10-1.

Another high-scoring game between Topps Reserves and Ullesthorp­e saw the game finish 7-7.

Ullesthorp­e were 2-1 ahead at the break, but an incredible second half saw the teams go blow for blow to find the net 14 times.

In the PWS Leicester Ltd Division Two, LK United took over top spot with a 3-1 win at Est Lord Nelson.

After a goalless first half, a double from Daniel Penn and a penalty from Danny Concannon ensured there were new leaders for Christmas.

Coalville Miners upset the form book with a solid 4-1 win at Plough Inn who lost their second game on the trot.

Two goals in the first ten minutes from Kurtis Lole got Miners going but Jamie Dexter reduced arrears with a free-kick.

Lole then made it 3-1 before Miners keeper Will Ogg saved a penalty to cap off a fine game between the sticks.

But Tom Powers added a fourth near the end to seal the three points for Plough.

Anchor Inn moved up into second spot with a 2-1 over Newstock Rangers in a good contest.

Shaun Robinson gave them an interval lead before Chris Ridley added the second with a well-placed free-kick.

Keeper Steve Watts found the net for Newstock after coming out of goal to replace an injured player.

In the Printing Works Division Three, Stanton United OB took the top spot after beating Weavers Arms 3-2.

Kyle Olner scored against the run of play on 30 minutes to give Stantion the lead at halftime.

Leon Simmons levelled things for Weavers before Danny Simmons and Johnathan Steed put Weavers into a commanding 3-1 lead.

Olner added a second for Stanton from the spot to make the final score 3-2.

Meanwhile, Stoke Golding Reserves were two up at the break through Carl Chadwick and Tom Moore.

They added further goals from Tom Moore again, Alex Moore, Sean Ward and Matt Tweddle to win the game 6-0.
