Mid-season review of Sunday league

-

THE SIMPLY Gym Hinckley and Sunday District League is at its half-way stage so let’s take a look back at the season so far.

In the Bond Street Trophies Premier Division, table toppers Sporting Dynamo hold the league’s only 100% win record and are three points clear of second place The Tin Hat 2015 with a game in hand.

FC Topps have dropped just three points in the league as they look to challenge Dynamo in the New Year.

Stoke Golding are lacking some consistency and Duke of Rutland have had a disappointing season to date with just one win under their belt - but a 4-0 win over Tin Hat showed they are capable of better.

Market Bosworth are struggling near the bottom of the table and their hopes of improving their position took a jolt when they shipped 18 against Dynamo.

Enderby Social sit at the bottom of the table with zero points.

The Hardy and Draper Carpets Division One is proving to be a three horse race with between FC Bulls Head, Three Horse Shoes and Sporting Dynamo Reserves.

Leaders Bulls Head continued their great form of last season from the start but stuttered in November to allow the other two back into the mix.

The Three Horseshoes sit in second place seven points behind the leaders with two games in hand.

Sporting Dynamo Reserves have gone unbeaten since early November and can also challenge for the title.

At the opposite end of the table, Dunton and Broughton United and FC Topps continue to struggle with just one win each.
