New eatery sets summer target

-

HINCKLEY’S new Wildwood restaurant will not be open until late summer.

The pizza, pasta and grill outlet from Tasty PLC will be located next to Loungers at The Crescent.

Work has yet to start in the unit, part of the food and leisure quarter owned by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council.

Wildwood has already submitted a premises licence application to the council for the serving of alcohol and provision of entertainment. Some of its 40 outlets have cinema nights.

A spokesman for Tasty PLC said the opening date was looking likely to be late summer, but was subject to change.

The company is run by brothers Adam and Sam Kaye, who along with father Philip, founded the Ask pizza chain.

Coincidentally Jonathan Kaye, the man who behind the Prezzo chain, which has a branch opposite the units earmarked for Wildwood, is Adam and Sam’s cousin.

Wildwood promises good fresh food in stylish yet relaxed surroundings. It has a sis- ter chain of Asian inspired eateries called ‘dim t’, mainly sited in London or the south east.

Eating options already established at the council’s block include Loungers, Rossini, Prezzo and Fab noodle. Handmade burger specialists Meatcure are due to arrive soon and work is progressing on fit-out.
