Why doesn’t anyone care about dog mess and parking

-

I AM writing to back up the letter printed in The Hinckley Times of the edition of January 18 regarding the dog mess on Merevale Avenue and Granby Road, as we have it as well on Rutland Avenue.

I will not go into details but suffice to say it is regularly all down the pavement and it seems to be a recent occurrence although we have had it before but not as bad as this.

The last straw was when dog mess was right in our front garden and I had to clear it up which was stomach churning.

I wonder as it has happened recently to this level, if it is a new person moved in or if someone has recently acquired a dog.

Of course it is not the dog’s fault but the selfish, lazy owner.

It is bad enough living in Rutland Avenue, with the Hub staff regularly parking on the pavements and roads and taking up the parking spaces and then to have this awful mess.

But the problem is nothing seems to be done about these selfish people nowadays so they will continue to carry on.

Nothing is done about the Hub staff parking over the pavements, I even saw two rarely seen parking officials walk into the road on Rutland Avenue, as a Hub staff car was too much on the pavement to be able to walk by.

So nothing will be done about the selfish dog owner I would guess, as there never seems to any council enforcement officers about, although of course ironically there are plenty of Hub associated staff about using Rutland Avenue as their own personal, private, free car park, so maybe they can keep an eye out for this irresponsible dog owner?
