Canine coat company and florists relocate to new home

-

A FUNDRAISING extraordinaire and author has relocated her dog coat business and florists to a new premises in Hinckley.

Safe to Shake sells a variety of dog coats and accessories, but specialises in indoor drying jackets which are made of a highly absorbent inner layer and waterproof outer layer to allow pets to dry off inside the warmth of the house, without getting mud and water everywhere.

Debbie’s Flower Creations offers arrangements to cater for all needs, from weddings and birthdays to sympathy bouquets, as well as business and corporate contracts.

Both ventures were launched by Debbie Bliss-Grewcock two years ago and she moved into a shop in Leicester Road in May last year.

At the time she said: “The flower arrangements are a more creative project, while my biggest thing is Safe to Shake as it’s something that I’ve designed and made.”

Now she’s made a move across the road to a unit at Hinckley Rugby Club and offers an appointmentonly service.

Debbie, 51, said: “I want to spend more time out and about talking to clients, customers and building new partnerships.

“That’s why I’ve moved from the shop, I didn’t particularly like being inside four walls all day.

“Customers can call me to book an appointment slot and the unit is a much dog-friendlier place too.”

It is not the first time Debbie has taken on a new challenge, having written a book about her experience battling an auto-immune disease, raising £95,000 for charity and even being an Olympic torch standard bearer in 2012.
