Down to Earth show returns to the town
GREEN-FINGERED gardeners are being invited to an evening with some of the county’s most popular experts in May.
BBC Radio Leicester is bringing its award-winning show, Down to Earth, to the Concordia Theatre in Hinckley on Thursday May 18.
The show is free to attend, but booking is necessary, and will give all gardening enthusiasts the chance to ask the panel of experts their questions.
Down to Earth is a gardening roadshow, which is played on BBC Radio Leicester on Sunday afternoons.
“It stars self-confessed gardening rookie and theatre lover Dave Andrews alongside a panel of BBC experts.
Judy Peatfield, from the Concordia Theatre, said that they are excited to welcome the show back to the Hinckley venue.
She said: “They are tremendous supporters of the theatre and we would like to give them a warm welcome when they visit us on this special occasion.
“Questions are invited from the audience to submit to the presenters so do include these when you apply for tickets.
“We cannot believe that it is ten years since Down to Earth last came to the theatre.
“Let us give them a tremendous welcome back in their special year.”
Audience members need to be seated for the event by 7.15pm, ready for a 7.30pm recording.
