Woman took number, guide dog named Dixie and woman weds doctor

-

TWO women employees of Edward Pinchess Ltd of Earl Shilton saw two men acting suspiciously in the grounds of the factory and took the number of a motor lorry.

As a result two men were before the magistrates court yesterday accused of jointly stealing two electric motors, value £35, from the firm on March 1.

One man was from Leicester the other from Glen Parva.

They both pleaded guilty.

The court heard that an employee of the firm had placed the motors outside the factory under some tarpaulin while they were waiting to be fitted. On March 1 he found them missing.

A detective constable visited the man from Leicester and asked him if he had taken the motors, he said that he thought they were scrap.

The officer then visited the second man.

At first he denied that he had taken the motors but the officer told him he had seen one of them broken up in the shed at his house.

The magistrates fined both men £10.
