I am trying to trace Ashley
MY name is Daniel Lachmann and I’m living in the very south of Germany in a city called Loerrach close to Basle, Switzerland and the French border.
In 1983 when I was 16 I got to know a boy from Burbage called Ashley Thomas and we stayed in contact until 1987. I’ve been visiting him in England in 1984. The last time I saw him was in 1985 when he stayed with me in Germany.
I tried to receive some information about him from the internet but it wasn’t successful. So I wrote an email to Hinckley Townhall but they couldn’t help me. They advised me to contact the newspaper.
The family was living in 2 St James’ Close. His brother is called Gary and his father’s name was Neville Thomas. He had a company roofer or something like that but I’m not sure about it. I don’t remember his mother’s name. The name of his girlfriend at that time was Lynn but I don’t remember her surname.
