Litter is a real eyesore

T Junior THE amount of rubbish littering Normandy Way, Carrs Hill and other local roads is becoming a real eyesore.

Before planning permission is granted for more fast food restaurants it should be a condition that they will employ daily litter pickers not just for the immediate area but all along the nearest major roads.

After visiting the drive-through it seems people throw their rubbish out the window miles down the road. McDonald’s have UK sales of £1.53 billion and make a profit of £270 million. Meanwhile local councils and local people are left to pick up the rubbish left behind. Bev Hockton
