Entrepreneur eggs on town design duo

-

HINCKLEY design duo Brio Media got a massive social media boost when they were picked as one of Theo Paphitis’s ‘small business Sunday’ winners.

Former students of North Warwickshire and Hinckley College, Alex Russell and Elliott Wynd-Jennings, the pair were among five other enterprises to be singled out by the former Dragon’s Den favourite.

The entrepreneur runs a weekly contest on Twitter aiming to give a helping hand up to other budding tycoons.

He invites people to write to him on Twitter between 5pm and 7.30pm on a Sunday including the #SBS hashtag and telling him a bit about their business.

Theo then chooses six for special mention, support and retweets, showcasing them to his thousands of followers.

Elliott said: “We received a retweet from the man himself along with an invitation to pick up our award with the rest of the SBS winners. From @briomedia we wrote “@TheoPaphitis Howdy, we’re Brio! A small graphic design studio based in Leicestershire. “We specialise in design for print and web #SBS” our tweet reached his 506k followers along with many others via a number of retweets, within an hour we had been mentioned hundreds of times and received over 100 new followers.”

The pair, ased in Graphic House, Hinckley, work for several local businesses including Hinckley Bid as well as national clients and the college where their journey started.
