Inflatable fun making a splash at pool

-

SUPER splash Saturdays have become de rigueur at Hinckley Leisure Centre thanks to the installation of a monster inflatable.

The giant floating obstacle course fills the eight lane main pool on Saturdays from 1.45pm to 3pm and 3pm to 4.15pm.

Having landed last summer the equipment has offered countless hours of fun for all ages, giving the young and young at heart a chance to get active without even realising it’s exercise.

Emma Hopkins, marketing and sports development manager for Places for People, which runs the Argents Mead centre, said: “The Supa Aqua has been a massive hit.

“We feel the success of the Supa Aqua is due to the diversity of the fun-filled inflatable and the range of age groups that can use it at one time.

“It’s the new generation of inflatable and mimics popular TV shows such as Wipe Out.”

The kit consists of a variety of obstacles including slides, basher walls, bumps and beams. To take the Supa Aqua challenge costs £6.95 or £5.55 if you have a family membership or junior gym only membership (customers paying a monthly direct debit) only.

The session includes 15 minutes for the issue of life jackets and a briefing then one hour in the pool. Everyone using the equipment will be required to wear a life vest. Children must be a minimum of eight years-old to take part. Pre-booking is essential.

Further information is available on the leisure centre website.
