Special deal if fans come along and support team in crucial games

-

FANS are being offered a two-for-one deal in a bid to boost support for Leicester Road FC’s promotion push game against Bromsgrove.

Described by the club as a ‘ season defining’ game, the two clubs meet on April 11 at Leicester Road in the Midland Football League Division 1.

Table toppers Bromsgrove Sporting visit Hinckley for a 7.45pm kick-off and the outcome could determine whether Leicester Road secure promotion to the Premier Division.

Determined to rally support, any fans who attend are being offered a free ticket to the following home gae against Pershore Town on April 15.

LRFC manager, Neil Lyne, said: “With both sides being notoriously attack minded, this fixture certainly has the potential of being a cracking contest.

“As always, Bromsgrove supporters will travel in their hundreds, adding to the occasion and atmosphere of the game, so we need to make sure we can compete in that department and don’t lose our crucial home advantage.

“Our loyal fans always make a great noise, but some extra home support would make all the difference as it really does spur the players on.

“Bromsgrove won the reverse fixture 1-0 earlier in the season, but we are confident and have the belief in the camp, knowing that we have to gain a positive result and the three points to apply the pressure on them for the run in.

“It might sound a cliché but the fans really can become that 12th man for us, so my message to Hinckley’s sporting and football fans and even those simply proud of their town is - you could make all the difference on Tuesday April 11, so please do come and support us.”

LRFC begin a series of four home games on the trot on Saturday April 8 against basement side Southam Town in what should be a highly entertaining opener, followed by Bromsgrove on April 11, Pershore on April 15 and Cadbury Athletic on April 17.

They’re also in the final of the Leicestershire County Cup to be played on May 2 at Holmes Park, the home of the Leicestershire Football Association in Whetstone, against either local rivals Heather St John’s FC or Holwell Sports from Melton Mowbray.
