Car crash shuts road

A TWO-car crash closed a main road into Enderby at the start of the Easter holidays. The accident happened on the B4114 Leicester Road at around 7.15pm on Thursday April 13.

Two engines were turned out, one from Southern and one from Wigston and police and ambulance personnel also attended.

No one was trapped but one person did receive emergency treatment for minor injuries. The vehicles were made safe by the fire service and the road remained closed while spilt fluids were washed away.

Crews called in a stop message at 7.45pm while police continued with traffic management.
