Time to end our absurd political correctness

-

THE government now has a geographic profile of where Islamic extremism is manifesting itself.

Is it by coincidence that all the locations are in left wing Labour-controlled areas where political correctness reigns supreme?

It is also a matter of public knowledge that these areas are a hive of malpractices from vote rigging to child abuse.

The authorities in question all plead that they have focus groups and full consultation procedures in place, but to be involved with that process one has to be a member of the Labour party, or a vouched for supporter of the Labour party.

Sir Michael Wilshaw the former head of Ofsted, wanted these authorities well and truly sorted out, but for reasons unknown, Whitehall is reluctant to do so?

I suspect that there are too many PC left wing mandarins, who are still in denial of reality?

The biggest threat this country faces is complacency, and a perverted sense of ‘tolerance’ from white middle class left thinking people living in their nice white middle class areas blind to the reality of what is going on out there!

Multi culturalism is a myth that divides communities and segregates. Of course people are entitled to their beliefs and religion, but we should subscribe to a single identity of being British!

We cannot begin to deliver “equality” until we are all treated the same and that means authority not being afraid to deal with issues in ethnic areas because of accusations of racism, as we have seen certain people argue in The Hinckley Times.

We cannot deal with any issue until reality is in place, and objectivity replaces the absurdity political correctness. Steve Vickers

Hinckley I am not at all political, but I do greatly dislike hypocrisy in which sadly many politicians are determined to excel. I have just received a copy of “People”.

It claims to report local news and is delivered by volunteers – Lib-Dem volunteers if you look more closely, so you can guess the style and slant.

It is of course full of Tory criticism, but there is neither one viable counterproposal nor any plan to address the local issues it highlights.

Most telling is the front page headline “Gridlock” where of course the current Tory administration is wholly to blame for traffic congestion, but over the page there is the self-praise for developing The Crescent, which at least to some degree must be contributing.

Much has changed since the LDs last had any local control and there is nothing to suggest that now they would perform any better than the incumbents – certainly they have not promised to reverse any of the decisions they insist are so wrong.

If past performance was the best measure of future success, we’d all be voting Labour for introducing the NHS in 1948! M Townsend
