Puddle ducks classes prove very popular

A SWIMMING school in Hinckley is expanding its classes because of high demand.

Puddle Ducks has around 1,000 customers each week and is now providing classes at Roman’s Health Spa, in Sketchley Lane, and Hinckley Island Hotel, on the A5.

The school employs highly trained teachers to identify a child’s level of ability and adapt lessons accordingly.

It has small class sizes and incorporates rhyme and movement techniques, to nurture confidence and encourage natural swimming ability.

Puddle Ducks now employs 15 staff and has classes across Leicestershire and Derbyshire. Its swimming programmes are for children up to 10 years old.

Cate Woodrow Smith owns the company. She said: “As we expand our aim is to continue using the latest techniques and ensure our teaching standards remain high.

“Children are at the centre of what we do, and we want to continue providing a fantastic experience to suit every child’s needs.”
