Recruitment day for hospital

HINCKLEY’S closest acute hospital, the George Eliot in Nuneaton, is holding an open recruitment event.

Experienced registered nurses and soon-to-bequalified candidates are invited to attend between 10am and 2pm on Saturday April 29 at the hospital’s training and education centre.

The trust is particularly keen on attracting new faces to its A&E, coronary care unit and acute medi- cal unit. Sisters from these departments will be on hand to chat to potential newcomers.

Michelle Norton, director of nursing at the hospital trust said: “We are inviting nurses to come and meet us, hear about our offer of support and development and join our fantastic ‘Team Eliot’ nursing teams.

“We are keen to see newly qualified nurses and showcase our impres- sive and dedicated professional development, preceptorship programme with bespoke rotation opportunities.

“Experienced nurses can be offered flexible working and a wide range of education and learning packages in our dedicated education centre. The George Eliot is also able to support nurses who wish to return to practice, including developing clinical skills.”
