Old infirmary may attract tourists

PLANS to attract tourists to Bosworth Park Infirmary were given a boost this week when a Leicestershire County Council officer confirmed its potential for bringing in visitors, that investment is needed and the County Council could not provide the money.

Now Infirmary supporters are looking for possible buyers when Trent Regional Health Authority put the 17th century Mansion House on the market.

The Mansion House is to close during the summer and 64 patients will be transferred to Leicester Groby Road Hospital. Total closure will follow in the early 1990s.
