High ranking for universities
COVENTRY and Warwick universities have earned top spots in a 2018 national guide.
The Guardian University Guide 2018 has brought another rise up the rankings for Coventry University, which is now in 12th spot – its highest ever placing, up from 15th.
This position gives it the status of the country’s top modern university.
Warwick is ranked eighth by the Guardian University Guide in its table for 2018.
The university has also been ranked seventh in the UK in the Times Good University Guide, and eighth in the Complete University Guide.
Warwick’s vice chancellor, Stuart Croft, said: “The new Guardian table once again ranks the achievements of our students and staff in the top 10 in the UK, and is further recognition of Warwick’s excellence in teaching and research.”
The Guardian University Guide also ranked 15 of Warwick’s departments or subjects in the top ten nationally.
The Guardian ranking puts Coventry ahead of many Russell Group universities and builds its reputation from other key league tables, notably last month’s Complete University Guide.
