Food on offer will include traditiona­l Italian pizzas and pastas, noodles, jams, chutneys, pickles and preserves, homemade cakes, handmade fudge and sweet treats, hot potatoes with traditiona­l and exotic flavouring­s, Mexican cuisine, steaks and gourmet burgers, Caribbean jerk chicken and curried mutton rice, organic fruit and vegetables, handcrafte­d cheeses, freshly prepared meats, local pork pies and mustards and pestos, with plenty of choice to tempt everyone including glu- ten free and other special dietary options.

Visitors can opt to drink speciality teas, coffees and hot chocolates, delicious fresh juices, smoothies and shakes as well as an array of alcoholic drinks for adults including rum and fruit punch served in pineapples, bottled craft beers, speciality gins, wines and ciders.

THERE are a number of Hinckley food venues taking part in the festival such as Coffee Rio, Ponchinell­os, Elbow Room, FAB Noodles and Rossini to name a few.

Some of the names you may not be aware of include Hettie’s Homemade who are artisan producers of jams, chutneys, pickels and preserves as well as fudge and sweet treats.

There is also Homemade by Linda which is run by Linda Sturgess based in Elmesthorp­e. She has 25 years of experience in baking.

One of the more exotic exhibitors will be Mexibros.

They say they are passionate about producing cuisine with a Mexican influence.

They produce contempora­ry Mexican street food such as Carnitas pork taco’s which is slow smoked pulled pork served on soft flour tacos with crunchy Mexican slaw.

There is also grandes nachos which is corn nachos with fresh salsa, Mexibros cheese sauce. Your choice of beef chilli or smoked pulled pork topped with fresh salsa, guacamole and sour cream.

The Tipple Truck should prove popular.

It is a big red fire engine which doubles up as a bar serving sparkling wine and amazing craft beer from micro brewries.

They will be bringing along beers from the Leicesterb­ased Framework brewery to the event.

The Old Brick Café will offer British and Europeanst­yle foods, epic steak, served with sautéed onions, mushrooms and your choice of Swiss or Stilton cheese.

They will also have brioche pork baps with apple sauce and stuffing, a Butcher’s burger, 6oz patty, served with Swiss/Stilton cheese, crispy bacon with special sauce.

And they also have fish finger sandwiches, posh fish fingers served with homemade tartare sauce.

And halloumi heaven which is grilled halloumi served with sautéed seasonal vegetables, with a little drizzle of honey.

There is a taste of the Caribbean coming as well with Taste d’Vibez. They do jerk chicken, curried mutton rice and peas, fish, dumplings, patties, cocktails.

They also sell rum and fruit punchserve­d in pineapples and jelly coconuts, as a novel way of being kind to the environmen­t.

They also encourage people to refill their vessels for a discounted drink.
