Talk in town

A REPRESENTATIVE of Parkinson’s UK is giving a talk in Hinckley tomorrow.

Dr Beckie Port is senior research communications officer for the charity, and is speaking about the latest research going on into Parkinson’s disease.

Her talk will include information about Virtual Biotech, the drug discovery and development arm of the group.

It works to get new treatments approved much quicker.

Dr Port holds a doctorate from the University of Birmingham.

She is speaking at the Hinckley & District branch of Parkinson’s UK, which meets at the Mary Forryan Centre at St Peter’s Church, on Leicester Road.
