Unity against dementia strong
I’d like to thank everyone in Leicestershire who helped us “unite against dementia” during Dementia Awareness Week 2017.
We had two action-packed days meeting with hundreds of shoppers in the Highcross in Leicester at our pop up shop and we created new ‘ Dementia Friends’ at information sessions in Stoney Stanton and Sapcote.
There were also information events at Glenfield Hospital, Leicester General and Leicester Royal Infirmary which gave us a chance to raise awareness of a condition which affects 12,000 people in the county.
If anyone missed out on the activities and wants to find out how they can help us to find a cure, improve care, and offer help and understanding to all those affected by dementia – call us on 0116 231 1111 or visit alzheimers.org.uk
