Fun for all at Foxton Locks
A POPULAR waterside tourist attraction is hosting its eighth annual summer festival with a plethora of entertainment for all the family.
The venue is Foxton Locks and the dates for the diary are Saturday and Sunday June 17 and 18 for a two-day celebration of music, food and canalboats.
Set against the historic backdrop of Foxton Locks, near Market Harborough, the event is expected to host a record-breaking 7,000 attendees.
Trading boats on the canal and locks will be dressed for the occasion, creating a scenic display.
Around 30 local, national and international acts will take to the stage including Room4Music, Unpredictables, Hash Tags, The Albion and James Condon.
There will also be arena shows such as Morris dancing, birds of prey, historical re-enactments and daily, fun dog competitions.
A craft marquee will fea- ture more than 100 of the region’s finest artisans - making it the ideal place to pick up unique gifts, perfect for friends and family or maybe just a treat for yourself.
To fuel festivalgoers, the main bar will be offering a range of real ale, beers, cider and wine and an extensive food village will see all manner of tasty morsels to tantalise the taste buds.
