Save hundreds by switching

SIMPLY switching energy providers has ensured thrifty residents are saving hundreds of pounds a year.

Householders across Blaby and Harborough were able to take expert tips when members of Citizens Advice LeicesterShire turned up with a financial awareness roadshow.

The four ‘switch and save’ events highlighted to residents how they could cut bills by an average of £200 a year. Two lucky householders found even bigger savings of £365 and £515 annually, all by moving to a different electricity and gas supplier.

Tony Wells, service leader for Citizens Advice LeicesterShire in Harborough and Blaby Districts, said: “Savings of this size are not uncommon. It is important for people to regularly shop around for the best deal on energy, as they could save money.”
