Helpers needed at village youth club

-

VOLUNTEERS are sought to help at a village youth club and ensure it keeps running.

The group at Bagworth Community Centre meets on Thursday evenings.

But following the departure of two of the volunteers new blood is needed.

Claire Feliciant, from the community centre, said any assistance would be gratefully received and is hoping to tap into those who already have with links to the centre and events on that day such as the exercise classes.

The club offers a variety of games and activities including pool, table tennis, table football, laptops with wifi and a tuck shop. It is open to school age children but youngsters under nine must be accompanied by an adult.

Clair said: “Sadly, two of our volunteers will soon be moving on to pastures new. Unless we have offers of help from other volunteers the youth club will unfortunately have to close.

“If you can help for a couple of hours on a Thursday evening, maybe you’re a husband of somebody who attends the Zumba and Kettlecise, maybe you’re a parent who would like to start bringing your children but they are under nine so can’t leave them, or maybe you just simply want to put something into your local community.”

The club runs from 7pm to 8.30pm and is free. For more information email clair@ bagworthcommunitycentre.org
