HINCKLEY Town travelled to Leicester Banks on Saturday where they won by seven wickets.

This was two wins in succession for Hinckley and leaves them sixth in division one.

Hinckley won the toss and asked the Banks to bat.

With the score on three Hinckley had Banks opener Guvrav caught by young wicket keeper Rohan Kelker, bowled by Suki Singh for a duck.

This soon became 15-2 when Shulka was also caught behind off the bowling of Tom Hilton for five.

P Patel coming in at number three for the Banks batted well but was bowled by Ashwin Vinod for 26 making the score 58-4.

Yadav was run out for zero leaving the Banks struggling at 65-5 and two runs later this became 67-6 when Mo Saladi was bowled by Avish Patel for 16.

A fine knock of 33 from R Tandel helped Banks’ cause but he was bowled by Avish Patel leaving the home side 112-7.

They were finally all out for 124 in the 36th over.

Avish Patel took 4-30 for Hinckley and there were two wickets each for Singh and Hilton.

In reply Hinckley found themselves 3-1 in the second over when Don Bhagwati was caught by Tandel, bowled by A Patel for zero.

This brought in Carl Crowe at number three to join his brother Craig and they hammered the bowling in putting on 88 runs in 13 overs for the second wicket.

Carl was the more aggressive scoring 56 when he was out LBW to Tandel.

Pinto Patel only scored one leaving Hinckley 98-3.

But Craig Crowe carried his wicket through the innings with 52 not out, Hinckley reaching 126-3 in the 19th over.

This victory gave Hinckley 25 points.
