Girl group All Saints to play at racecourse
EXPECT exquisite hats and elegant dresses when Leicester Racecourse hosts a concert by All Saints as part of its Ladies Day race event on Saturday July 8.
Following the biggest Ladies day yet in 2016 the course has announced that hit 90s girl group All Saints will be headlining this year’s Ladies Day with The Only Way Is Essex star Mark Wright also on the bill with a live DJ set as well as 80s British R&B star Jaki Graham and finally a set from the up and coming singer Karen Harding.
With a string of hits in the late 1990s All Saints are one of Britain’s bestloved girl bands. Sisters Natalie and Nicole Appleton, and band mates Shaznay Lewis and Melanie Blatt became household names with chart toppers including Lady Marmalade, Bootie Call and Pure Shores. Their hit Never Ever also remains the second biggest selling UK girl group single of all time.
Selling over 12 million records, the group also secured two Brit Awards and an Ivor Novello Award. They have recently been supporting Take That throughout May and June.
Since rising to fame in reality TV, TOWIE star Mark has since gone on star in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here and Strictly Come Dancing as well as taking the reigns as TV presenter on Take Me Out: The Gossip.
He also presents a Club Classics shows on Heart FM so will be sure to have you dancing on the night.
Before all of this great entertainment and live racing there will be live music from the one and only Jaki Graham.
Jaki is best known for her hit singles Could It Be I’m Falling In Love, Round And Around and Set Me Free.
She said: “I’m very much looking forward to performing for you all, get those hats ready.”
Gates open at 10am so glamourously dressed ladies will be treated to a full race card taking place throughout the day alongside a range of pop up food traders offering different cuisines and bars offering a range of drink options.
