Time to let the dogs out at Animal Aid HQ

-

THE DOGS will be out at Leicester Animal Aid’s rescue and re-homing centre during a special event aimed at helping some of the canine residents find their forever homes.

Visitors will be invited to meet some of the animals up close and personally, as well as being offered the chance of a behind the scenes tour of the facility on Forest Road, Huncote.

The event, called Who Let the Dogs Out, will be held in the organisation’s education centre on Saturday July 8 from 10am until about 11.30am.

LAA kennel staff will be on hand to give advice on caring for a dog and to answer questions about the centre and any of its canine residents.

Kennel and cattery manager Becky Vickers, said: “We believe that by bringing the dogs in individually to meet people is a brilliant way of letting their personalities shine through. It will also give the staff, who really get to know and love the dogs in their care, an opportunity to paint a picture of each dog’s unique character.

“While we try our hardest to make each dog’s stay with us as enjoyable and stressfree as possible, the centre isn’t a substitute for a loving home environment and we want to give our dogs every opportunity of finding that forever home.

“We’d encourage anyone who is interested in re-homing a dog or wants to find out more about the work we do at the centre to come along. “This will be a fun and informal event.” Places are limited and can be reserved by sending an email to info@leicesteranimalaid.org.uk, via the website www.leicesteranimalaid.org.uk/wltdo or by calling Hinckley 888257.
