Night in memory of Jane raises over £1,000

-

A FUN charity night took place in Earl Shilton in memory of a much-loved mum-of-one.

There was a live band, bingo, cake sale and raffle at Stoneycroft Sports and Social Club, to remember Jane McNulty, who died in December last year of ovarian cancer. She was just 48 when she died.

Her mother, Jane Devine, of Station Road, organised the fundraising event with other family members, in aid of Loros hospice.

The Fantoms began the evening with a set, and 130 homemade cakes were donated by Lindsey’s Cakes.

The raffle had donations from Clarke’s Valeting Services, Hair by Collette, and many other businesses, as well as from family and friends.

Guests also enjoyed a pop quiz with a cash prize.

The evening raised £1123.20 for the hospice.

All of Jane’s close family presented to the charity with the cheque.

The family said they wish to all who were involved “a huge thank you for your generosity and kindness and of course your help in raising such a great amount of money for a fantastic cause”.
