Simon Says music festival
MORE than 70 acts are set to appear at Leicester’s De Montfort Hall over the course of the two-day Simon Says festival this summer.
Former Public Image Ltd bassist Jah Wobble, famed for his close association with Jon Lydon and Sid Vicious, will be headlining at De Montfort Hall and gardens as will Fun Lovin’ Criminals’ Frank Benbini and Carter USM’s Jim Bob.
BBC 6 Music favourites Smoove & Turrell and Brit reggae band By The Rivers are performing during the weekend, Saturday and Sunday July 29 and 30.
Brand new acts for this year include The Tin Pigeons, a fourpiece indie-folk band from Hallaton, championed by BBC Introducing last summer.
