Fun day hunt for dog lovers

FAMILIES, dogs and revellers enjoyed an old-fashioned fun day at the Lutterworth Summer Picnic.

Guests were treated to a traditional Punch and Judy display, donkey rides for the children, and a Wild Wild West theme organised by the Barking Mad scheme.

Barking Mad sends dogs to loving families during holiday times, and is an alternative to kennels. They are currently looking for homes and families to send dogs to.

A spokesperson said: “We are currently seeking more hosts in the local area to care for dogs whose owners are away.

“This is an ideal opportunity for families, or teaching professionals, who cannot commit to full time dog ownership during term-time, to experience the joy and life enhancing benefits of canine companionship, at a time to suit them.

“If you are real dog lovers and have some free time we would love to hear from you.”
