Seaside fun at park in town
A PARK in Barwell was transformed into a seaside resort, for the first time.
Barwell by the Sea included a fun fair, and ice cream and burger vans, along with other stalls, in Kirkby Road Community Park.
It wouldn’t be a trip to the seaside without intermittent showers, but fortunately the weather had cleared up by the time the event began.
This was the first time the event had happened, organised by Barwell Parish Council.
Council chairman Barry Granger thanked everyone who attended for their support in making it a successful afternoon, with many children coming along to enjoy the fun.
