Classic cars come to town

-

KEEN motorists and petrolhead are invited to enter their classic cars into this year’s annual Hinckley Classic Motorshow.

Hundreds of carefully restored classic vehicles will go on show at Hinckley BID’s seventh annual classic motorshow, which will be held throughout the town centre from 10am on Sunday September 24.

The cars will be vying for a range of soughtafter trophies, and will also be accompanied by some special modern, fast and rare entries.

Last year more than 600 cars, lorries, bikes and scooters, as well as a working steam engine, several pre-war tractors and even Cadeby Home Guard, turned up to be admired by the crowds of families who came in to Hinckley to enjoy the day.

This year, a jazz band will be playing in Market Place, and there will be fun activities planned for children.

The event is free both to enter a vehicle or to visit. Car parking in the council car parks will also be free, and many shops, pubs, restaurants and bars will be making everyone welcome.
