A CROWDFUNDING page has been set up to cover funeral costs for a popular Hinckley mum who died suddenly, leaving a teenage daughter behind.

Former Redmoor High School and John Cleveland College pupil Kirsty Taylor, 37, died in her Hinckley home on Sunday July 2.

Her sister Kim, who is organising the unexpected funeral service, to be held at Nuneaton crematorium on Friday July 21, said: “Kirsty has a 13 year old daughter Elise Briars who was her whole world.

“They were inseparable, with an unbreakable bond, not just mother and daughter but best friends too.

“Her family are certain that Kirsty will be at peace with the knowledge Elise is with her amaz- ing dad Iain Briars and that he will be alongside her into her adult years.”

Kirsty also leaves her partner Mudasar Ashraf, known as Nas, her dad Bill Taylor and siblings Debbie and Andrew.

Her mum, Hayley Taylor, died in 2013.

A Crowdfunding page has been set up to raise £1,500 to cover funeral costs.

Appealing for help, the page reads: “I am asking people to donate no matter how small to try and ease the pressures of the family. If we are lucky enough to raise the money for the funeral anything remaining will go to Kirsty’s daughter Elise.”

Members of Hinckley Working Men’s Club, where Kirsty used to work behind the bar, raised £200 for the cause from a weekend raffle and will be hosting a wake there after the funeral service.

Cars will leave the Stockwell Head club at 10am on for a 10.30am gathering at the Heart of England Crematorium.

The family has requested no flowers, other than from immediate relatives, and no children to attend the service other than friends invited by Elise - although everyone will be welcome at the club afterwards.

A Memory Book set up in Kirsty’s name on Facebook is overflowing with posts from friends going back to schooldays who are among those expected to turn out to pay their respects.

Donations can be made online at Crowdfunding https://www. justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ meachelle-francks or via Paul Pender & Son Ltd, the Leicesterbased funeral directors arranging Friday’s service.
