Police launch murder probe

A MAN was arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 60-year-old man in Nuneaton.

Police were called to Harefield Road just after 1pm on Saturday (July 15) to reports of an altercations between two men.

Shortly after, a man in his 60s was taken ill and taken to George Eliot Hospital where he later died.

A 46-year-old man, arrested near the scene, initially on suspicion of assault, was later arrested on suspicion of murder.

The man who died has not been named but Warwickshire Police confirmed his family had been notified.

Warwickshire Police have renewed an appeal which urged anyone who witnessed the altercation to come forward by calling 101.
