Floral arch decorates church
A WEDDING in Hinckley had a special adornment to brighten up the occasion.
The west door of St Mary’s church was decorated with a floral arch for the nuptials of Tom Hamlett, 32, and Lucy Miller, 24.
It’s the first time in many years that the door, through which the bride walks as she processes to the altar, has been so festooned.
The new Mrs Hamlett said: “The flowers looked exquisite and the arch way was so pretty, and will look amazing in all of the photos.
“The service was joyous, funny and magical. Tom and I will never forget how special this day was.”
Vicar of St Mary’s, Rev John Whittaker spoke about the arch in his sermon, comparing and contrasting it with a married couple.
Lucy had a matching bouquet and there were similarly-themed arrangements within the church.
The Garden Rose in New Buildings provided the flowers, which included roses, peonies and sweet peas.
