Magical milestone celebrated
WAND-WIELDING young witches and wizards spent a magical time marking the 20th anniversary of the publication of the first Harry Potter book.
Hinckley library, on Lancaster Road, hosted the anniversary party to mark two decades of readers being bewitched by Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
Celebrating the first of JK Rowling’s classic children’s stories, youngsters were invited to don invisibility cloaks and take part in Potter-inspired crafts and activities.
A specially-themed photo booth gave them the opportunity to dress up as their favourite Hogwarts characters, complete with wands.
