SOME of the music world’s rising stars will be hitting the stage at an intimate festival in the Bosworth countryside next month.

The popular 110 Above Festival will return to Gopsall Farm in Atherstone, for a three-day musical extravaganza from Friday August 4.

The festival is limited to 1,000 people, and gives music lovers the chance to wander between stages to enjoy the array of bands playing.

This year’s stellar line-up will include the return of D.I.D, who headlined the festival last year, and Benjamin Francis Leftwich.

Other performers to take to stage include festival favourite Jasper in the Company of Others, as well as Ulysses Wells, Emily Lockett and Seaker.

Festivalgoers can camp at the site, and can even choose to go glamping, with a series of special bell tents furnished with various bedding options.

Festival director Michael Lain said: “We’re really excited for this year - particularly because we are making a number of changes to the site that will give attendees a very special experience. We are also opening a new stage, which means that we can have even more amazing artists play during the weekend.

“Our headliners have an excellent reputation for putting on exhilarating shows - they are truly going to be rocking Twycross during the weekend.

“We are making sure there is also plenty to do for those who want a bit more than music - there will be comedy on Saturday and Sunday, tribal drumming, fire dancing, garden games, guitar workshops and much more. Oh yeah, and the beautiful Leicestershire countryside to admire.

“The intimate size of the festival means that it is perfect for festival first timers, families and we also attract festival regulars who prefer it to larger commercial events as there is much less walking and it is more affordable.

“Tickets are now running low so we advise people to buy them as soon as possible to avoid missing out - we are limiting attendance to 1,000 persons.”

Tickets to the event can be purchased from £84 for the weekend, including camping, or £55 for children. Under 12s can go free. Day tickets cost from £39.98 for adults and £28.88 for children.
