Tourist attraction treasure map to get families on the bus
LITTLE adventurers can uncover a real life prize by solving a treasure map challenge launched by bus company Arriva.
Clues and quiz questions can be found at various tourists sites across the county including Bosworth Water Park with youngsters encouraged to solve the mystery while enjoying a summer holiday family day out.
The competition, championed by Arriva mascot Alfie, is part of a promotion by the operator to get families using public transport and visit attractions on their doorstep.
Treasure map questions can be found at Brocks Hill Country Park, New Walk Museum, Charnwood Museum, Bosworth Water Park, Melton Mowbray town centre and Stonehurst Family Farm in Mountsorrel.
The competition runs until September 6 and correct answers will go into a prize draw with the winner getting three- night weekend Sherwood Forest Adventure Holiday luxury log cabin break and runners-up receiving one of 60 family ZonePlus tickets.
None of the locations boasting quiz questions charges for entry but discount deals are available at some paid-for attractions by purchasing an Arriva family ZonePlus ticket.
Offers include a free one-hour’s play at the Two Steeples Wacky Warehouse in Wigston, two-for- one entry at Stonehurst Family Farm, free family entry to the Paradise Found Farm Park in Sapcote, free family entry to Bosworth Water Park and one free child entry per paying adult at Swadlincote Ski Centre for their slideand-ride deals.
Treasure maps and instructions can be downloaded from the Arriva website at www.arivvabus.co.uk/alfie or copies picked up from St Mary’s Bus Station in Leicester.
