Witness appeal after street brawl

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a brawl outside a village shop.

Two men were injured and had to be treated in hospital during the fracas which involved a gang of people.

The incident happened near the Nisa store on Station Road Bagworth at around 8pm on Friday August 25.

A spokesman for Leicestershire Police said: “We’re investigating a fight near the Nisa shop around 8pm which involved a group of people. Two men sustained injuries and were treated in hospital.

“We know there were a number of people in the area at the time and we’d like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the assault.”
