World final

A BUSINESS owner from Hinckley is competing in a stock car world championship.

Paul Hines, who runs Progress Windows in Westfield Road, is taking part in the Brisca F1 world championship final, at the Foxhall stadium in Ipswich.

Mr Hines will be on the start line for the third race of the evening, taking on 36 racers from across the world, including from New Zealand and Holland.

Starting ahead of him is Nigel Green, from Bruntingthorpe, who is the favourite to win after his victory in the European Championship earlier this year, and Derbyshire man Dan Johnson.
